2020/2021 Clean Water System Upgrade
It has been 10 years since we started installing clean water systems. We have come a long way since then, and our latest version of the bicycle driven system is resilient, tried and tested, and has a new and larger foldable roof which protects the system even more. The pre-filter helps keep the filters from clogging. Metal basins allow us to build systems much quicker than the old style concrete systems, which weeks to harden.
It is important that we continuously improve. We’re currently researching spinning type mechanism on the back cog which will improve the ease of pedalling. We’re also looking at identifying improved pumps to feed the water from the well. The pumps are positioned behind the seat of the bicycle. We use pumps from Thailand, easily available at the markets in Cambodia, to support our type of generator systems.
